Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to everyone.

Using the keyboard instead of the mouse

You can use the Tab key to move between links on a page. A single press of the Tab key moves to the next link, using Shift+Tab moves to the previous link. You can see the current link as it is surrounded by a dotted-line box after using the Tab key for the first time. The order of links in generally top to bottom, left to right. To select the link, press the Enter key.

When selecting an item from a 'drop down' list, the up and down keys can be used to select the item. Also the first letter of the option can be used to navigate through all the items that begin with this letter.

Internal and external links

When navigating within the RDI-LB website, the link will open the page in the current window, unless the Shift key is also held down. All external links will open a page in a new window regardless of whether the Shift key is pressed or not.

The mouse pointer changes to a hand icon when rolling over a link. Text links are underlined when rolling over them. All graphical external links will show a text description when rolling over them.

Contrast and colour scheme

We have made every effort to avoid mismatching colour schemes and to use sufficient contrast on the RDI-LB website but if you notice any colour combinations that cause you problems, please contact us.
